What type of events does Above the Clouds cater and for how many guests?

We have catered all kinds of events from weddings for 300 guests to private, intimate multi course dinners for 2. We do birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, bridal/baby showers, graduation parties, family reunions, company outings, meetings, fundraisers and  bereavements.

To what geographic area do you provide catering services?

We typically try to stay within 1.5 hours of our Westford kitchen mothership. To inquire about locations outside of this range, please let us know and we can make arrangements.

How many events do you take on per day?

We are a small business and we only take on one event per day. If it’s a big event like a wedding, one per weekend. Chef and owners Dan and Silvia are always present at our functions.

Is there a minimum amount for event catering?

Every situation is different, we have done high end dinners for just two people in the off season. During peak weekends from May to October we have a $1500 minimum.

Where can I find prices?

Please contact us for any questions you have about pricing. We do not include them on our website because every event is different. The cost of a big event  is driven by a long list of factors that differ for each case (it’s kind of like buying a car…lots of choices). The guest count, menu, staffing, duration, beverages, bar, service, equipment, location and many other items have to be considered. 
We are happy to customize your menu and other services and we will give you an estimate after discussing the details with you. If you already have a budget in mind, we will of course consider that as well.

Can you provide rental items such as tables, chairs, linen and serve ware?

Yes, we can help you with placing an order from our preferred outlet at PEAK event services or any other rental company that can provide the services you would need. We do not carry a big inventory ourselves, because every event and taste/decor is different.

Is it possible to create a custom menu?

Yes, our specialty! The menu samples we have on our website are here to inspire. We would love to customize a menu for your taste buds and budget. We have also created dishes based on family recipes that customers provided us.

Can you accommodate special dietary concerns?

Yes, chef Silvia has a dietary education as well as a 7 year vegetarian restaurant experience background. We have  cooked events that were strictly gluten free and/or vegetarian or vegan. We are allergy trained and certified.  We are also  Serve Safe certified and insured.

When do you need my final headcount and any last changes?

For big events we ask for a guest count and final menu adjustments 2 weeks before the event, smaller ones 1 week. Should your count increase after this time, please call and let us coordinate.

Do you provide bar services?

Yes, we can provide you with our connections for an insured bartender if you provide your own alcohol or full service bartenders including alcohol, drinks, garnishes, mixers etc.

Do you provide drop off catering?

We prefer not to because we finish everything as fresh as possible on site. We also like to insure that our creations are presented in a beautiful way. 
We want your guest to be taken care of and pamper the host/hostess as well. Set up and clean up are a big part of what we do.
We make exceptions for simple dishes that can be easily served.

Do you have your own venue where we can hold our event?

No, we don’t have our own venue space. We can make recommendations on venues we have worked with in the past based on your vision.
